Steve has 40+ years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, most of which was spent in senior HR roles in the drilling industry with companies such as Santa Fe, GlobalSantaFe, Precision Drilling and Weatherford Drilling.

He then spent 10 years managing manpower companies providing crews to the offshore industry, latterly as Operations Director of Connect Energy Services. He is a past Chairman of both the North Sea Chapter IADC HR Working Party and the UKDCA.

He remains active within IADC and is currently Treasurer of the Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter and an active member of the HR and Mental Health Workgroups. Steve has been a Director/Owner of IAS International since 2018.

Mike Simpson has worked in the oil & gas industry for over 40 years.

He is currently the principal owner of the Cansco group of companies. He is an Engineering Technologist who combines extensive experience managing international drilling operations, engineering and equipment manufacturing teams with the proven ability to create and adapt new technology applications.
